Enabling Wireless on your wireless modem

1. Directly connect a computer into one of the Ethernet ports on the modem, they are labeled 1-4.
2. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox etc..) and enter 192.168.1.254 into the address bar and click go or hit enter.
3. You will see the home page of the modem, look for the section called "Home Network", in the centre of the screen, and click on "wireless"
4. On the next screen click on "configure" on the top right.
5. Put a checkmark in the Interface Enabled checkbox.
6. There will now be a heading called Security with three Encryption options.  By default, Disabled is selected.  We recommend choosing the WPA-PSK option (WEP is also available).
7. The Encryption Key will be noted below the encryption types (it should match the one on the sticker on the bottom of the modem)
8. Click the Apply button to save the changes
9. The modem's wireless light should now turn on.  The colour will depend on the encryption type:

Red = Disabled

Orange = WEP

Green = WPA-PSK
