FormMail

The FormMail CGI script (primusformmail.pl) allows your site visitors to send you email by filling out a form which you provide to them on your web site.

Primus UNIX or Hybrid VWS customers with a "Lite" or "Express" package must use the "shared" FormMail CGI script.

Primus UNIX or Hybrid VWS customers with their own cgi-bin directory have two options:

1. You are provided with their own CGI script named "primusformmail.pl" which you can customize as required or
2. You can use the "shared" FormMail CGI script if you wish (some clients may want to use the shared version if you are not comfortable editing/changing CGI scripts) Before getting started, please first refer to the online documentation for creating an HTML form on your website which will call the primusformmail.pl script.
   
   

The shared FormMail CGI script is available to all Primus UNIX or Hybrid VWS customers. To use it, simply follow the instructions in the online documentation above.

If you are using the shared FormMail CGI script, you can specify any email address in the "recipient" FORM variable that exists within the domain name of your VWS. If you would like to "authorize" additional email addresses for use in the "recipient" FORM variable, you can use the tool below to add them into the "authorized" users list.
